Restrictive Measures Imposed on the Accused in the Case of Mitja Kontič et al. Terminated

On 28 August 2023,  the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision in the case of Mitja Kontič et al. (S1 2 K 045078 23 Ko) dismissing a motion of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office to extend custody and impose restrictive measures on the accused Slaven Radinković, Boris Grujić, Jovan Šuman, Igor Zarić and Damjan Tepić, specifically: a travel ban, ban on meeting with certain persons, and mandatory reporting to the relevant state authority.

In addition, the Court terminated the restrictive measure-ban on meeting with certain persons previously imposed on the accused Slaven Radinković, Jovan Šuman, Igor Zarić and Damjan Tepić.

 

The accused Mitja Kontič et al. have been charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) and (3) of the CC BiH, in connection with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the CC BiH.

 

An appeal from this decision may be filed with the Court’s criminal panel within a period of 3 (three) days after the receipt of the decision. The appeal shall not stay its execution.
